New Equipment Installations.
The City of Westminster demands that all new plant, including air conditioning condensers, have an enclosure which is designed to reduce the noise levels to 10dB below the lowest L90 background level.

Specific Design Problems.

The installation shown houses two large vertical condensers. The main problems with condensers is the avoidance of  recirculation. To do this we have brought the cooling inlet air in at high level through an attenuator so that it enters the enclosure in a central void.

The condensers face outwards so that the fans discharge into a sealed chamber each end to prevent recirculation.

The level of reduction from this enclosure is in excess of 20dB(A).
